The Italian Society for Educational Research (SIRD)promoted a national research initiative in order toreflect on the remote education methods adoptedduring the Covid-19 emergency. The research wasconducted by means of a questionnaire answeredby more than 16,000 teachers from schools of alltypes and at all levels throughout the country.This paper describes the methodology used forthe qualitative analysis and illustrates the structureof the categories. La Società Italiana di Ricerca Didattica (SIRD) hapromosso una ricerca nazionale per avviare unariflessione sulla didattica a distanza (DaD) adottatadurante l’emergenza Covid-19. La ricerca è statacondotta mediante l’utilizzo di un questionario a cuihanno risposto oltre 16.000 insegnanti di ogni ordinee grado, dislocati in tutto il territorio nazionale.Il contributo descrive la metodologia utilizzata perl’analisi dei dati qualitativi e presenta la struttura categoriale emersa.Le domande aperte erano volte a far emergere ipunti di forza e di debolezza della DaD, nonché ledifficoltà riscontrate dagli studenti. Uno spazio dedicato a commenti e riflessioni, inoltre, ha consentitodi cogliere in modo maggiormente circostanziato ilpunto di vista degli insegnanti interpellati.
