This report is part of the deliverable D 6.2 of the SECOA project, which is funded by the European Commission Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). The main objective of the present study is to \...provide a taxonomy of all the possible re- lationships among environmental hazards, environmental resources, environmental stresses, socio-economic characteristics and con icts". The task 6.3-Taxonomy requires the identi- cation of all possible forms of con icts, not strictly related to those analyzed in the SECOA project, but still concerning the relationship between the environmental stresses, the envi- ronmental resources, the urban development and the socio-economic characteristics of coastal areas. Therefore, the analysis here is not limited to SECOA case studies, as was the case in the previous task 6.2-Clustering, but the ambition is to classify real-world contrasts into universal typologies. The identication of such a taxonomy makes it possible to place SECOA contrasts into a more general framework, facilitating their interpretation and understanding.
