Rethinking guidance as a tool to prevent discomfort and early schoolleaving means recognizing its educational, formative and pedagogicalvalue and creating the conditions for working on human potential inrelation to the reference context. This paper describes the results ofan exploratory study conducted to analyze the phenomenon of schooldiscomfort in adolescents in the city of Bari. In the light of the newGuidelines for Guidance presented by the Ministry of Education andMerit, the contribution outlines some paths of reflection on schoolorientation as a possible tool for knowledge and strengthening personalidentity, through teaching character skills at school.
Ripensare l’orientamento come dispositivo di prevenzione del disagio edella dispersione scolastica vuol dire riconoscerne il valore educativo,formativo, pedagogico e creare le condizioni affinché sia possibile lavoraresul potenziale umano in rapporto al contesto di riferimento. Il presentecontribuito descrive i risultati di uno studio esplorativo condottoper analizzare il fenomeno del disagio scolastico negli adolescenti delterritorio barese. Alla luce delle nuove Linee guida per l’orientamentopresentate dal Ministero dell’Istruzione e del Merito, il contributo tratteggiaalcune piste di riflessione sull’orientamento scolastico come possibilestrumento di conoscenza e rafforzamento dell’identità personale,attraverso l’insegnamento delle character skills a scuola.
