This chapter investigates the strategies employed by Matteo Salvini and Nigel Farage to represent Europe on Twitter during the European elections of 2019. The analysis was carried out through the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach with a particular focus on metaphors, topoi and representational strategies. The analysis aims to highlight what kind of metaphors, topoi and representational strategies are used by these two politicians in order to represent the European Union and if there are some similarities or differences in their Eurosceptic populist narratives.
