This paper aims at analysing the cultural tourism as a vehicle for creation of value of a territory, with peculiar attention to the Albergo Diffuso business model. Nowadays, tourism is considered the sector that more than others generates wealth and economic development in a territory. Tourism is able to distribute wealth, moving it from rich areas to less known areas if they are carriers of innovative elements of attractiveness. The cultural heritage, the renovated villages, the natural beauties, the landscape can become the drivers on which to build the new attractiveness of the less known inland areas. In recent decades, tourism has experienced significant growth and remains an important driver for the development of the regions, especially when it is part of the recovery of the sustainability dimension of a territory.
