In this chapter, we will describe the recent neuropsychological models of ADHD, and we propose to include the role of automatization deficits in ADHD, and the related subcortical activation, to better explain ADHD symptomatology, along with a new theoretical framework, including the cortico-subcortical brain network of cognitive processes.
