We propose an unpublished article by Ernesto Massi, devoted to the qualities of geographer of Cesare Battisti. The paper is kept into the Massi Archive, acquired in November 2011 by the Fondazione Ugo Spirito e Renzo De Felice. The article, as the author remembers, was realized after the celebrations held on 25th-26th May 1935 in Trento to inaugurate the monument to Battisti’s memory. Massi remembers the scientific qualities of the geographer, without rhetorical expressions or political considerations, but with the intent of celebrating the Battisti’s studies on territorial sciences.
