The article explores how migratory processes are represented in Italian cinema of the 2000s. The aim is to outline a cartography of the peninsular landscape observed and experienced by the migrant subjectivities that cross it. The analysis of migratory movements in both fiction and documentary productions will be framed by the continual redefinition of national and European borders, the identification of chronotopes that mark the stages of the journey, testimonial narratives, and the confrontation with the colonial past.
