It refers on these novels and plays that describe situations before or after the catastrophe, by utilizing a tragicomic style: Dr. Strangelove by S. Kubrick and Waiting for Godot by S. Beckett. In these works, the catastrophe changes from being a structural element of the tragedy to a simple content of a comic mise-en-scene.
