Aim.This study evaluates conscious sedation techniques to address dental anxiety in pediatric patients, focusing on the efficacy, safety, and long-term benefits of various sedation approaches. Materials and Methods. Following the PICO framework, clinical studies and case reports were reviewed to assess sedation strategies for uncooperative children. The analysis included various agents and delivery methods, comparing their effects on sedation outcomes, safety profiles, and patient acceptance. Articles were screened by title and abstract, and full texts were reviewed to resolve reviewer discrepancies. Conclusion.Conscious sedation effectively manages pediatric dental anxiety, combining immediate relief with long-term behavioral benefits. Tailored strategies considering age, behavior, and clinical requirements are essential, along with rigorous adherence to safety protocols are essential. Drug delivery and monitoring advances promise further improvements, enabling dental professionals to provide safer, more positive experiences for young patients and their families.
