Abstract
The issues related to biometric data and the growing use of artificialintelligence technologies have reinvigorated the debate on the need to find solutionsthat do not violate the fundamental rights involved but, at the same time, do notcompletely forego the advantages that this technologies can give. By examining somerecent IT solutions that envisage the use of biometric data for the recognition ofindividuals without data retention, this paper intends to provide an innovativeperspective that takes into account technological innovations designed in the light ofa greater compliance with the current legislation and the minimisation of dataprocessing and retention.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
