Morel Lavallee acute knee lesion is a rare disease not widely known among professionals who work in emergency services. However an early diagnosis allows a noninvasive therapeutic approach that make a rapid and full recovery of the patient. The knowledge of ultrasound and computed tomography signs are pathognomonic in emergency, even if magnetic resonance remains the gold standard in non-emergency management. We describe a case of a boy with a Morel Lavallee knee lesion diagnosed in emergency room thanks to clinical and radiological evaluation and treated with medical therapy.
