At the age of 60 and at the height of maturity, the ex-middle school, now secondary school, needs to restructure, even more than has been done, in a European key. A place of passage, a moment of transition, the cradle of important personal and social changes, the secondary school of the first degree cannot but be the "true" and "active" first springboard for Europe. With the conclusion of the primary path to future citizens it is right to ask for an immediate pro-European and cosmopolitan impulse. An instance of which the "middle" can and must be the promoter. And this through languages - at least a second next to English - classical and contemporary arts, music and new languages, above all - and digital skills actively practiced in everyday life. Precisely for this last point, the pandemic has probably opened the way to a democratic spread of digital, a point in favor that cannot be overlooked. Beyond a review of these first sixty years, the European perspective "pushed" would be one of the most viable ways of relaunching.

Abstract
Beyond a review of these first sixty years, the European perspective "pushed" would be one of the most viable ways of relaunching.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
