This qualitative study aims to investigate the well-being, emotions, motivations and social dynamics underlying the sporting practice of running for the over 65s to understand which elements play a main role in the decision to start or continue a sporting activity for the elderly. In addition, an attempt was made to understand whether sports practice hides, in addition to aspects related to well-being, others that are not necessarily in line with a healthy existence. What emerged from the narrative interviews reveals infor mation that is not always consistent with the representation of running as a healthy practice. The phenomenon of spor ts commitment by over 65s is rapidly evolving and due to the specificities of this population, constant adaptation is required both in terms of theory and models and in terms of psychological counseling with them
