Roberto Bracco playwright, journalist, short stories writer, author of songs and film subjects. Until the early twenties he was the most represented Italian author in theaters in Italy and abroad. This study focuses on the turning point of 1924, when Bracco decided to run on the list of the Constitutional Opposition of his friend Giovanni Amendola where he was elected to the Chamber for the XXVII legislature, positioning himself in second place after the leader of his party. From that moment he suffered strong ostracism, the regime also opposed his candidacy for the Nobel Prize for literature, put forward by important foreign cultural institutes. But Bracco will never bend to compromise, maintaining, throughout his life, his cultural autonomy, an expression of the principles of liberalism and democracy.
